What is Racer eX? It originally sprung from the belief that sports, when done honestly, keep you honest. While I am partial to the objective nature of my own sport of ski racing (quite simply, the clock does not lie), any pursuit that pushes you to find your own limits and capabilities while respecting those of others can be an express route to mastering basic life lessons. As one coach described the sports experience: "It's about how we learned to live our lives."
The people, places, heroics, tragedies, physical and social dynamics (I could go on, but you get the idea) that accompany competition fueled my connections—not only to people and activities, but also to the outdoors. When viewed with a degree of reverence, realism and humor they provide an endless supply of great material. Here you can get a look at my writing, learn the origins of racer ex, share your comments and questions in the racer ex-change, and check out my latest book-related developments.
As we continue to build the site we will add features to support the racer ex community.
